Add a website, app or mini-program

Each site gets its own key. Set the time zone and privacy preset before data arrives, because those two settings decide how everything is counted.

Sites, keys and plans

In TapCub a site is one source of data: a website, a native app or a mini-program. Each has its own site key and its own reports. Everything under one login shares a plan — Free includes up to 10 sites, Pro 25, VIP 1 50 and VIP 2 100.

Apps and mini-programs are available from Pro. On Free you can create them, but their events are not stored until the plan includes the platform. See Plans and limits.

Create the site

  1. Click New site on the console home. Choose website, app or mini-program. The choice cannot be changed later because each type has a different SDK and report set.
  2. Name it and pick a time zone. Reports cut "today" at midnight in this zone, and monthly quotas reset on the 1st in it. Pick the zone your team reads reports in.
  3. Choose a privacy preset. Balanced keeps a site-level salt so returning visitors can be compared across days. Strict rotates the salt daily and never reports returning visitors. Both are cookieless. Read the cookieless guide before choosing if you are unsure.
  4. Copy the site key. It is on ConfigurationSDK code at any time, so you do not need to save it.
The time zone and the privacy preset change how rows are stored. You can change them later, but rows already stored are not rewritten.

Register hostnames

For a website, add every domain visitors use on Web analyticsConfigurationSDK code: example.com, www.example.com, shop.example.com. Subdomains of a registered domain are accepted. Hits from an unregistered host are dropped silently, which is the single most common reason a new install shows no data.

Add localhost only while testing locally and remove it afterwards.

Exclude admin paths and your own visits

Under ConfigurationSettings you can exclude paths such as /wp-admin/* or /preview/* so editors do not appear as visitors. The same page lets you exclude your office IP ranges. Excluded hits still answer 202 but are not stored and do not count against the quota.

Draft and preview URLs on a CMS can also be skipped with the data-exclude attribute on the script tag.

Invite the team

Open SettingsMembers and add colleagues by the email they already registered with. Roles are Owner, Admin, Analyst, Viewer and Agent-only. Free includes one member per site; Pro three; VIP 1 ten; VIP 2 unlimited.

An Admin can narrow what a member sees — specific channels, platforms or hostnames — and hide property keys that contain personal data. Details are in Team and roles.

Next steps

  • Install the snippet and confirm the first visit.
  • For apps, install the iOS, Android, HarmonyOS, Flutter or React Native SDK from the developer docs.
  • For mini-programs, WeChat, Alipay and Douyin SDKs are in the same docs.
  • Decide whether to enable live chat on the website.
