TapCub is live — analytics, insights and live chat, free on one platform

Live chat Know what visitors need
before they ask.

Live chat with analytics context. Source, current page and the path of this visit sit on the thread before you type. AI answers from your knowledge base first and hands off when it should. A visitor writes in German, you reply in English.

  • One line of code, shared with analytics
  • Context on every thread

Why teams switch

See the visit. Answer fast. Speak every language.

Most chat tools open with a blank box and a name. TapCub opens with the visit the analytics snippet already recorded, an AI that has read your help articles, and a translator in the middle.

See the visit

Country, device, source, current page, time on page and the step-by-step path of this visit — before you type the first word.

  • Ad click IDs from 14 platforms
  • Cart value and order number when you send them
  • Earlier threads on the same person

Answer fast

AI replies from the knowledge base you publish and names the source. Canned replies open with a slash. A person takes over the moment it is needed.

  • AI answers common questions first
  • Slash commands for canned replies
  • Transfer with the context attached

Speak every language

Visitors write in their language. You read a translation beside the original and reply in yours. They only ever see their own language.

  • 18 languages, auto-detected
  • Original and translation side by side
  • Nothing translated when languages match
Proactive chat

You do not have to wait for the visitor to type

The live list is the same set of visitors analytics is watching right now. Open a thread with one click, send the first message yourself, or let a rule invite anyone who pauses too long on a page that matters.

  • Open a chat from the live visitor list in one click
  • Send the first message as an agent — it pops up on their screen with your name
  • Auto-invite by page, time on page, source or cart value
  • Rules per site: 1 on Free, 10 on Pro, unlimited on VIP 1, 50 on VIP 2

Example scenario: Someone from a Google Ads click has been on /checkout for three minutes. The rule fires, a message appears offering free shipping over €60, and the order completes two minutes later.

Visitor context

Every conversation opens with the background already on it

Nothing extra to install. Country, device, source, current page, time on page, the path of this visit and earlier threads all come from the snippet you already pasted. Agents stop asking “which page are you on?”

  • Source and campaign, including Newsletter and ad click IDs
  • The page they are on now, and for how long
  • The full path of this visit with the current page marked
  • Earlier threads, notes, tags, cart value and order number

All of it comes from the same snippet

AI replies

Common questions get answered before a person is free

Answers come from the knowledge base you publish, and each reply names the article it used. Every automated message is labeled AI. Low confidence or a request for a person moves the thread to the queue.

  • Cites the article the answer came from
  • Shows a confidence level and hands off when it is low
  • Labels every AI reply so visitors can see who answered
  • Turn AI off per site when you want people only

Example scenario: A shipping question lands at 11 pm. AI answers from the shipping policy with the source named. The follow-up about changing an address is marked human-only, so it waits for Maya in the morning with the order number already on the thread.

Two-way translation

Cross-language chat that feels like the same language

The visitor’s language is detected on the first message. Agents see the original beside a translation and reply in their own; visitors only see theirs. Matching languages are left alone. Included from Pro.

  • Detects the visitor’s language automatically
  • Agents keep the original next to the translation
  • Visitors never see the other language
  • Matching languages are left as written

Example scenario: A Berlin store runs its inbox in English. German, French and Polish visitors each see their own language; the agent sees one English thread.

Inbox

One workbench for every conversation

Waiting, mine and all in one list. Canned replies open with a slash. Transfer to a colleague, leave an internal note, pick up images and offline messages. The same inbox works in a phone browser.

Waiting · Mine · All

Three views of one list. Unassigned threads wait in a shared queue until someone picks them up or a rule assigns them.

Canned replies with /

Type a slash and pick a saved answer. Placeholders such as {address} fill from the thread.

Transfer with context

Hand a thread to a colleague or a team. The visit, notes and tags move with it.

Offline messages

Outside working hours the widget collects a message and an email. It lands in the same inbox.

Images and files

Visitors and agents can send images. Allowed file types are set per site.

Reply from a phone

The inbox is a responsive web app. No separate install for agents on the go.

Team and roles

Give support an inbox without giving them every report

An agent-only role sees the inbox, visitor context and knowledge base — not the analytics reports. Assign threads to people or teams and set working hours per agent, in the same project as analytics.

  • Agent-only role: inbox and knowledge base, no reports
  • Assignment: round-robin, by language, by page, or manual
  • Working hours and online status per agent
  • Seats: 1 on Free, 3 on Pro, 10 on VIP 1, 50 on VIP 2

Example scenario: A cross-border store has two German-speaking agents and one for Japanese. Threads detected as German go to the German pair round-robin; Japanese goes to Aoi’s teammate; everything else waits in the shared queue.

Notifications

Hear about a new conversation where you already work

Desktop alerts and a sound in the inbox, plus email and the team tools you already have open. Each agent chooses their own channels.

DesktopEmailWeComDingTalkFeishuSlackWebhook

What triggers an alert

A new thread waiting, a message on a thread you own, a transfer to you, an offline message, and a rating under 3 stars.

Per-agent settings

Sound on or off, desktop alerts per browser, and email only when you are away. Team channels are set once per site.

Webhook payload

Thread id, visitor context, source, page and the first message as JSON. Post it to your helpdesk, CRM or a script of your own.

Chat × Analytics

How many orders did chat actually bring?

Chat and analytics count the same visitors, so you can compare the people who chatted with the people who did not — conversion rate, order value and repeat rate — plus a chat report with first response, resolution and satisfaction.

Conversion attribution

The order event already in analytics is matched to the visitor who chatted. No pixel, no manual tagging.

Topic heatmap

Which questions come up on which pages. A sizing spike on one product page usually means a description needs fixing.

Chat report

First response, resolution rate, satisfaction, AI hit rate and handoffs per agent and per day.

Widget

Make the chat window look like part of your site

Standalone chat link

No website yet? Share a chat link instead

Every site key has a hosted chat page on TapCub. Put the link in a social bio, an email signature, a QR code on packaging or a business card. It lands in the same inbox as the widget on your site.

  • One address per site key: app.tapcub.com/c/{siteKey}
  • The same inbox, AI replies and translation as the on-site widget
  • Works alongside the snippet, or entirely on its own
  • Shows your name, logo and welcome message

Example scenario: A creator sells through Instagram and has no storefront yet. The chat link sits in the bio; questions about sizes and shipping arrive in the inbox with the visitor’s country and language already detected.

Lightweight and private

Small on the page, clear about data

The launcher is part of the ~2 KB analytics snippet and loads the chat window only when a visitor opens it. Retention follows your chat plan. You can export or delete any conversation.

Loads on demand

The snippet stays about 2 KB. The chat window downloads only when someone clicks the launcher, so it never slows the first paint.

Retention by plan

Conversations are kept 30 days on Free, 90 days on Pro, 180 days on VIP 1 and 12 months on VIP 2, then deleted automatically.

Export anytime

Download a single thread or everything on the site as JSON or CSV when a customer or auditor asks for the record.

Delete on request

Remove a conversation and its attachments in one action. Deletion is logged and cannot be undone.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Still have a question?

Chat with the team behind TapCub — we usually reply within a few hours on business days.

Do I need a second snippet for chat?

No. Live chat uses the same snippet as analytics. Turn chat on for a site in the console and the launcher appears; the chat window itself downloads only when a visitor clicks it.

Can I use chat without using the analytics reports?

Yes. The inbox, invites, AI replies and translation work on their own, and an agent-only role hides the reports entirely. Visitor context still fills in because the snippet records the visit either way.

Which AI model is used, and do I need my own key?

By default TapCub provides the model and counts replies against your plan — 30 a month on Free, 300 on Pro, 2,000 on VIP 1 and 10,000 on VIP 2. From Pro you can bring your own key for any OpenAI-compatible endpoint and choose the model yourself.

Which languages does translation support?

18: English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Turkish, Dutch and Polish. The visitor’s language is detected automatically. Translation is included from Pro.

Can I reply from my phone?

Yes. The inbox is a responsive web app, so it works in a phone browser with the same threads, canned replies and context. Desktop notifications work wherever the browser supports them.

Where are conversations stored and for how long?

In TapCub’s cloud, in the same project as your analytics. Retention follows the chat plan: 30 days on Free, 90 on Pro, 180 on VIP 1 and 12 months on VIP 2. You can export or delete any thread earlier. Enterprise can self-host.

What happens when I go over the monthly conversation limit?

Existing conversations continue. New visitors see the offline form instead of a live chat until the 1st of the next month, when the counter resets. Upgrade at any time to restore live chat immediately.

Need self-hosting?

Keep your data on your own servers. TapCub Enterprise is quoted separately for your security and compliance needs.
